Love at First Chemistry

Updated: Jan 4

In Chemistry, a catalyst is a substance needed for a chemical reaction to take place.

But a catalyst in life is someone or something that causes a change in your life. And what Adrian and Margo experienced was life-changing.

Adrian and Margo first met whilst working at the same school. Adrian was a primary school teacher for Year 1 and Margo was employed by the school privately as a speech pathologist. During their initial meeting in the staff room, there was definitely chemistry for both of them.

She started dropping a lot of hints before Adrian finally asked her out. Soon after that, they started dating and the bond they had catalyzed into love.

Adrian and Margo both love travelling, trying new things, and going out to eat as well as cooking together. They both enjoy hosting and having people over, which is one of the things they look forward to before getting married and having a place together.

They also like the outdoors and spending time with nature. They don’t have anything in common when it comes to dislikes but Margo has a phobia of cockroaches whilst Adrian dislikes her crashing and banging in the morning.

One of the funniest moments they had was the time before Adrian first asked Margo for a date. Adrian secretly read the same book she was reading so that he could take her to the movie adaptation that was in cinemas and nearly no longer showing. Funnily enough, he accidentally read the wrong book and only realised the day before he was going to ask her out. Adrian told Margo that he stayed up to a ridiculous hour to finish the right book in time to ask her to the movies that coming Saturday. When they finally went to the last showing in Sydney, it turned out that the movie was terrible. But what made their date great was because Adrian's company to Margo was pretty sweet.

The most memorable moment that Margo had during their wedding day was when she was walking down the aisle. She remembered thinking "I just want to be in this moment forever". Seeing some of her strongest family members became emotional and sharing their joy with Adrian outside the church were really something that touched her heart.

As for Adrian, he was not able to hold it together when he saw her beloved Margo walking down the aisle and looking absolutely stunning. It was an emotional and special moment for him.

You really could not tell what life will throw at you at any time and at any moment. You just have to be ready and be a catalyst that can change somebody else’s life for the better. Like Adrian and Margo, they met at the right moment and at the right time, and with the perfect chemistry, their lives changed forever.
